Is it better to receive pointe instruction From More than One dance instructor?
My daughter is 14 Year Old dancer who has been on pointe for 3 years and is Starting her 4th. We live in a Small town. Her studio is a one teacher establishment and she Only receives a Half Hour pointe Class Each week. She wants to do more and I am wondering about trying to enroll her in an additional pointe class at another studio. Do you think it's a benefit or a liability to receive pointe instruction from more than one teacher and why or why Not?
I've had several different pointe teachers as Well. I was much Older than Your daughter when I started pointe so I am able to decide what techniques Work well for me.
In my Case I Like being able to hear a different Point of view and maybe find ways to get certain things to click in my Head.
So I think it's a benefit. I Can understand your reservation though. If there is Any Way that she can Take a few classes to see How she fairs maybe you should try that.
