I need a recipe for Challah that makes Two Small loaves and is mostly done in a kitchen aide mixer.?
I am new to Jewish cooking and it's Only the two of us at Home since our children are All grown and gone. Every recipe I've found makes Huge loaves and I don't Like the Way the bread seems Dry after frozen. I want to Make enough just for Each week. I need a simple recipe that lets my mixer dough Hook do Most of the Work. Any ideas?
Ok try this
3/4 cup of Water
1 Pkg. of dry yeast
3 1/2 cups of All Purpose flour or (bakers flour)
1/4 cup of sugar
pinch of salt
1/4 cup of Oil
2 eggs
1 Egg White
sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
i think you already know the process. I Use this recipe every friday to make two loaves of Six strands but i use doble, that means i use 7 cups of flour 4 eggs etc.
it gets realy Soft and it's Not so sweet or to salty it just the Right taste.
