How to remove a Body Lift Form a 2002 Wrangler?
I have a 2002 Wrangler TJ and want to remove the 3 Inch body lift to replace it with a Suspension lift. Anybody know how to remove the lift or know of a write up of someone uninstalling a body lift?
I agree with Terry about Not using locktite.
Also, you Can Use a body lift and a suspension lift together. It is an option!
A body lift is a Great Way to Clear bigger Tires without raising the Center of Gravity of the entire Jeep (Only the Weight of the Cab). Also, a body lift is great when washing Down after romping through the Mud. You are able to wash down and Clean mud/Dirt Off of the Frame rails More easily.
In body lift kits, the bumpers aren't touched. They do not need to be moved as they are attached to the frame and not the body. Do Pay Close attention to Your radiator as that was probably lifted to match the body lift. Also, Check the Engine mounts. Some Like to lift the engine to match it to the radiator. Most don't lift the engine, but some do... so just check it.
I personally would leave the body lift in place and add a suspension lift too. We All wanna Turn a bigger Tire!
