What does a sharp symbol mean directly after the bass clef in manuscript?
I'm trying to read bass manuscript (i play the bass guitar) and would Like to know what the sharp symbol means directly after the bass clef. I understand that the 4 by 4 means 4 beats Per Measure and Quarter note gets One beat. I just don't understand what a sharp means...and i've even Seen some manuscript that has 4 sharps by the clef. Some clarification on what this actually means would be appreciated.
When the sharps are Right next to the Clef that idicates that All the corresponding notes throughout the song are meant to be played as a sharp unless individual notes are showing as Natural.
Hope that makes sense.
PS same thing applies to flats.
