How Can I get my basketball shot higher?
I Start my shot From almost, Under my belly Button, how can I get it up and start from my Face? When I just try it, I totally miss because I don't have enough Power. I really need help cause I'm 5'6 going Out for Point Guard on JV this Year, I'm fast, and pass really Well, I just need help with my shot. Thanks in advanced.
Many people and a few scientists have performed experiments trying to Perfect the average basketball shot. For example, European coaches teach their players the correct Form and Time to shoot the basketball. The results show that the team average is 33% taking into account that All basketball players Used the same Ball, shot from the same Distance, and from the same Angle. Only Two out of Ten basketball players had Over a 50% shot accuracy. This proves that these basketball players were incorrectly taught the correct form of shooting a basketball. Most of these players learned how to shoot from “backyard ball.” Restating that the varsity basketball players were incorrectly taught the correct form of shooting a basketball would explain why the team shot average is so low.
If a player can Not Make a shot average of above 60%, the player can calculate all of his given information (Height, time ball takes to get to Basket) in order to Fix his shot. He can Use the Kinematic Equation to calculate the correct Velocity the ball should be shot at in order to increase his shooting average. My expected results were that the basketball would achieve a peak height that was shot from an expected height at a certain time to make the basketball Fall through the hoop. The ball was shot at different heights and took different amounts of time to Reach the goal for Each individual player shooting. This all affected the Horizontal velocity, the Vertical velocity, height the ball was shot at and the time the basketball took to reach the goal.
By doing this I achieved the Purpose of solving this problem, which was to help the varsity basketball team increase their shot averages. Although only One person was tested, I can still go Back with future basketball players of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science to teach them the correct dynamics of shooting “the perfect shot” using VRML, Excel, and STELLA.
