How do I Measure the square footage of an irregular Shaped Room?
I have a room in my house that is shaped Like a square with One Corner Cut Off, so the room has Five walls Total. How do I calculate the square footage of this room?
Several different ways. Easiest is to first calculate the Area of the square (or is it a rectangle?) Part, then calculate the area of the cut off corner (a triangle) and subtract.
Area of a rectangle is L x W
Area of a Right triangle is the Product of the Two shorter sides divided by two.
