How Long Can a Marine sentry stand Post for according to the Marine Corps Order?
I stand post for the Marines and we are in garrison posts everyday. I was wondering what was the maximum Time (in Hours) we can stand post for Straight? What Marine Corps order is it? I have been looking for it and I cannot seem to find it.

The Commander of the Guard may permit you a Short period of Relief. The Most important thing for you to remember is Your 5th General order. You do know it, Right? You'll be in a world of hurt if you disobey it.
You have a Chain of command. If you feel you are at your post for excessive periods the correct thing to do is bring it up to your next in command. If you can't get satisfaction you can Take your complaint on up the chain of command. There is a right Way to present complaints in the Marine Corps and you should know what it is.
