Where Can I find petrified wood and Palm wood in Texas?
I'm looking to Take a road trip and rummage up some roadside petrified wood, nothing Super Large, but Big enough to Polish the Ends or slice and Make Book ends or some cabochons. If you know the Gps coordinates, even better!

I'd Check River banks, lake shores, and road Cuts in the coastal Plain. There was One place near Choke Canyon where the Ground was literally covered with petrified wood...
