Can you have a supercharger and NOS without it ruining Your Engine?
Ok I'm thinking about getting a 2004-2009 F-150(5.4l triton), and I wanted to get a Roush supercharger, so would I need a to get a new Transmission or anything? Also would the NOS coupled with the supercharger put to much strain on the engine?
I would recommend Not Running nos in your Truck. NOS Runs Very Hot, putting alot of strain on your engine. If you couple that with a supercharger, you're looking at a blown Motor, and possibly a Fire. Even superchargers themselves can be risky, depending on the brand, so if I were you, I'd either go with just the supercharger, or nothing at All. And if you get it, have it Installed by a proper Mechanic, he will have the Tools to Make sure that your engine can handle it.
