How do you Take the tip Off of Wood burner?
I have always wanted to get a wood burner. I recently purchased One and it came with 3 different tips and then one tip already attached. I wanted to Change the tip but cannot get the Original off. The others Screw in but I Can't unscrew the original. It is Not comming off. There are no Instructions with the Kit. Any IDEAS?
The suggestion you have already been given may Work just Make sure you Pad the jaws of the Pliers with something that wont melt or burn too Easy, Like Leather. You do not want to damage the tip. You may also want to look at the Shaft of the burner to see if there is a Set screw that you have to loosen to remove the tips. Look at the treads to see what direction you need to Turn the tip to remove it Most are lefty luck but not always. The last tip you can try is to Ice the tip after Heating it so that it contracts just the slightest Little Bit and that may also wok. If All else fails try a little bit of penetrating lubricant (3-in-one Oil, WD-40) when I say a little bit I mean just a Drop and let it sit for a few minutes before you try and remove the tip. After you get the tip off make sure you get all the oil off so it does not Smoke and cause a Fire or get on Your Project making a mess or preventing the Finish you apply later From penetrating the wood.
